Steps
Stride between levels in style with an architectural concrete stairway or large-format floating slabs, combining beauty, strength and durability.
Architectural concrete stair treads, risers and large-format steppers are practical options for outdoor stairways, providing strong resistance to wear and tear and exposure to weather elements.
Anston offers a diverse range of stair tread and riser sizes for standard applications, which are available in our stunning range of colours. We can also support clients with the supply of large-format steppers or slabs, which create a bold, impressive presence.

We have enjoyed featuring Anston products in our gardens for many years. They are a dream product to incorporate into garden designs.

Featured Project: Colours Stairway, Flemington Racecourse
A feat of architectural beauty and construction excellence, the 5.6-metre wide Colours Stairway at Flemington Racecourse was completed in time for the 2019 Melbourne Cup Carnival.
Offering improved accessibility into the racecourse, the stairway is constructed with bespoke concrete stair treads that grab attention with their sheer scale, featuring a stunning cantilevered design on each side to produce a sawtooth effect.
Concrete Steps: Frequently Asked Questions
What types of concrete steps are available?
Anston offers a variety of concrete step products including standard concrete stair treads and risers, circular steppers and large format steppers, slabs and landings. Sizes are available to view and download on the individual product webpages.
What colours are available for Anston concrete steps?
Anston concrete steps is available to order in 28 beautiful colours, offering a variety of aesthetic styles such as traditional concrete, sparkling granite or bold exposed aggregate.
To view all colour swatches or to order physical colour samples, please visit our Colour Range page.
Do you supply stair treads that are compatible with stair stringers?
Anston's concrete steps are standard concrete stair treads, available with a square edge or dropdown edge. Our standard stair treads do not include any fixing components for installation with stair stringers.
If you plan to use Anston stair treads in a stair stringer application, we recommend that you obtain the appropriate engineering certifications to ensure that products will comply with the desired application.
Are Anston concrete steps designed for indoor or outdoor use?
Anston concrete step products are typically installed in an outdoor environment due to their robustness and weight, as well as the textured, shot-blasted surface finish which is slightly rough to the touch.
Large-format steppers, slabs and landings are often installed via crane lifting, making it difficult to install these products indoors.
Our standard range of stair treads and risers may also be used indoors, as certain square edge products can be honed or polished to achieve a smoother surface finish. Please note that honing and polishing does incur additional charges.
How long will it take to receive my order?
All Anston products are made to order, requiring a minimum lead time for production. If you do not have a trading account with Anston, we will not be able to commence production of your order until we receive a deposit payment.
Once the order is confirmed and deposit payment received, the minimum lead time for concrete steps and large format steppers is 4 weeks. However, this may be impacted by other factors such as order volume, existing work log and delivery location.
To ensure accurate lead times, please confirm with your Anston representative at the time of enquiry.
