What types of finishes are available in the Anston paving range?
Anston's standard, most popular finish for all paving products is a shot-blasted finish, which highlights the beautiful, sensuous texture of concrete.
Customers can select from a light, medium or heavy level of shot-blasting. Light blasting results in a smoother texture and heavy blasting results in a rougher, grittier textured finish.
For products made using our EcoPebble, Ironstone or Mineral Range colours, a heavier level of blasting will reveal more of the stone aggregate in the mix.
Certain paving sizes can be further enhanced with a honed finish, where the surface of a shot-blasted product is ground to remove the roughness of the shot-blasted texture. This achieves a silky smooth finish that is pleasing to the touch.
Anston's standard pavers are priced to include our default shot-blasted finish. Additional fees apply for pavers to be produced in a honed finish.
How long will it take to receive my order?
All Anston products are made to order, requiring a minimum lead time for production. If you do not have a trading account with Anston, we will not be able to commence production of your order until we receive a deposit payment.
Once the order is confirmed and deposit payment received, the standard lead time for paving is generally a minimum of 4 weeks. However, this may be impacted by other factors such as order volume, existing work log and delivery location.
To ensure accurate lead times, please confirm with your Anston representative at the time of enquiry.
Is it possible to match the paving I currently have?
Anston does not offer colour matching of existing paving. Due to concrete's propensity to change and weather in the outdoor environment, it is virtually impossible to produce an exact match of new paving with old. The longer the paving has been installed, the more it will have been subjected to dirt and grime build-up, weather conditions and general wear and tear.
Even if sand and stone materials are sourced from the same quarry, the nature of these organic raw materials makes them prone to variation over time, which can present as changes in colour. Furthermore, Anston's concrete mix designs have been continuously developed and refined over our many years of operation. Thus, a batch of Murray paving produced in 2025 is likely to look quite different to a Murray paver that was produced 20 years prior.
If you are hoping to match an existing paving installation, our recommendation is to track down the name of the product colour if possible, and to choose a colour from our existing range that best matches the current appearance of your installed pavers.
For a physical colour comparison, contact us to arrange an appointment at our showroom, or order colour samples here.
Are Anston pavers industry-compliant?
Yes, Anston concrete pavers are made in compliance with the requirements of the Australian Standard AS/NZS 4456.0:2003 - Masonry units, segmental pavers and flags.
Customers can relax with peace of mind that they are investing in an industry-compliant, high-quality product that will provide durable, long-lasting performance in the outdoor environment.
