The EcoPebble Range is here.
In 2023, Anston invested many months of hard work in R&D behind the scenes, converting our popular Pebble Range colours into an new and improved EcoPebble Range.
EcoPebble reduces environmental impacts, uses repurposed materials and is less reliant on virgin raw materials – all while retaining the strength, durability and aesthetic qualities of our luxury architectural concrete.
Here’s what you should know about Anston EcoPebble:
- Contains a recycled plastic aggregate made from mixed post-consumer and post-industrial waste, diverting hazardous soft plastics out of landfill and reducing our consumption of natural stone;
- Produces fewer carbon emissions due to a 20% replacement of cement with slag, a waste by-product of industrial steel production;
- Achieves a 50% reduction of virgin sand consumption, instead using manufactured quartz sand;
- Manufactured with reclaimed rainwater collected on-site at our factory;
- Compliant with Australian Standards for Breaking Load and Slip Resistance;
- Can be crushed and recycled at end-of-life, supporting a circular economy.
What will happen to the existing Pebble Range?
The Pebble Range will be discontinued and replaced with EcoPebble. However, the new EcoPebble colours (Char, Hearth, Alloy and Dune) are a very close match to their Pebble predecessors. See if you can spot the difference on our Colour Range webpage!
What products will be available in the EcoPebble colours?
Our 4 EcoPebble colour mixes will be available across our suite of paving, pool coping, reinforced pedestal paving, cladding, stair treads and residential landscape elements including certain concrete bench seats and spheres.
How much will EcoPebble cost?
Sustainability shouldn’t come at a cost, and Anston has committed to offering our innovative EcoPebble colours at the same cost as all other colours in our range. We’re thrilled to be able to offer the benefits of EcoPebble (reduced use of virgin raw materials, lower GHG emissions, use of recycled waste materials) at the same standard price!
How long will it take to receive my EcoPebble order?
The order process for EcoPebble colours remains the same as for all other colours. While a minimum lead time applies, due to all products being made to order, we are able to turn around paving and pool coping orders within our standard lead times of 4-6 weeks (less if your order is a small one!)
To ensure accurate lead times based on your specific project requirements, please consult your Anston representative at the time of enquiry.
