Part of the Melbourne Park sporting precinct and home to Tennis Australia, the National Tennis Centre at Melbourne Park officially opened in January 2013.
Boasting plexicushion and clay courts, a gymnasium, function space and various changeroom facilities, the world class training facility is frequented by tennis greats and aspiring stars every year during the Australian Open tournament.
Outside the Tennis Centre, geometric concrete benches, produced in a custom design by SVC-Anston, adorn the forecourt, providing ample seating for visitors to the arena. The seats feature bright white seat tops in a three-part tilting design, resting atop dark charcoal plinth bases.
