Berwick Waters is a unique master-planned community by Frasers Property Group, situated in the growing south-eastern corridor of suburban Melbourne. With extensive wetlands, parks and open spaces, it provides the ideal environment to support families of all ages and is now home to over 5000 residents, who enjoy easy access to nearby cafes and restaurants as well as multiple shopping centres, schools and hospitals.
Designed by Tract, a key aspect of the Berwick Waters community is to promote outdoor activity for residents of all ages. Modern outdoor playspaces and 9km of shared bike paths and scenic walking trails weave through the estate, furnished with over 100 custom concrete seating modules that provide areas for rest while contributing to the overall aesthetic value of the landscape.
The bespoke seat modules were produced by Anston, with the long, curved forms mirroring the ‘ribbon’ design theme present throughout the estate. The modular seating is implemented in varying combinations to achieve different layouts onsite, allowing excellent design flexibility while sticking to a consistent theme with the use of repetitive modules.
