Bair Street is a key thoroughfare shared by cars and pedestrian traffic in the community of Leongatha.
The South Gippsland Shire Council recently completed a significant upgrade of the streetscape – a two-year project that involved a renewal of the drainage and power networks as well as upgrades to the road environment, including new lighting, landscaping, street furniture and car parking spaces.
The revitalised streetscape encourages community activity and interaction via a widened footpath and the introduction of various outdoor street furniture elements. This outdoor furniture suite comprises various concrete seat modules from Anston’s catalogue range, customised with timber and steel elements from Draffin and Spark.
Locals and visitors to Leongatha can now enjoy the new outdoor amenities and furnishings in the upgraded streetscape.
