Federation Square

By Bates Smart, Architecture Studio

Federation Square has firmly established itself as a Melbourne icon, and is a globally recognised landmark of Melbourne architecture.

Designed by Lab Architecture and Bates Smart Architects, Fed Square, a project that had its fair share of controversy and complexity in the beginning, has now become a gathering place for our diverse culture – an iconic centre that defines the city of Melbourne.

In 2002, SVC Urban’s Gattistone paving was selected to form part of the grounding foundation of our city square, and the charcoal pavers were laid in various sections throughout the complex.

Anston and the SVC Group are honoured and proud to have been involved in one of Melbourne’s most culturally important landmarks.
