A home that feels like a holiday.
For their Torquay project, the team at Mint Pool & Landscape Design set out to transform a nondescript rear garden into a cosy but luxurious private oasis. The design successfully extends the living space outdoors via an adjoining alfresco and timber sun deck, facing onto a sleek lap pool and spa.
Dressed in bright white Anston Vega pavers and dropdown pool coping, the lap pool stretches parallel to the home, offering inviting views of the water from several vantage points indoors. Anston Vega circular steppers run through the garden in a pathway adjacent to the pool, reintroducing the cool white hues within the grassed lawn.
With limited floor space available for the garden, the selected plant palette is lush and leafy, expanding outwards and upwards to bring flashes of green into view from anywhere within the landscape. Layers of Tractor Seat, Elephant Ears and giant Birds of Paradise come together in clusters of dense tropical foliage.
The multitude of architectural and organic elements each play a part in this transformative courtyard upgrade, successfully creating a resort-like atmosphere within the privacy and comfort of this well-loved home.
