The four elements of earth, air, fire and water are represented in this garden, which rewarded landscape designer Lisa Ellis with the accolade of Best Boutique Garden in her debut Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show entry in 2015.
The exhibit brings together the age-old pursuits of stargazing and garden design. Staggered pergola beams frame the space, yet open up a view to the stars. The black pond reflects the night sky and the pendant light fittings reference the moon and planets.
“Concrete spheres are placed in the garden to align with a constellation in real time.”
