Bentleigh Library and Youth Hub

By Anston Architectural Products

Libraries are warm, welcoming local havens that offer a wealth of free resources, entertainment and comfortable spaces for the community to enjoy.

Funded by the Living Libraries Infrastructure Program, the beloved Bentleigh Library in the City of Glen Eira was redeveloped into a thriving new community centre, offering youth services and various community programs. The upgraded centre boasts expanded book collections, additional spaces for community activities and private study, improved AV resources and high quality amenities throughout the multi-use facility.

Supporting Connell Design and Construction, local paving company Melbourne Paving was tasked to construct the pedestrian walkway leading into the new library. Using three colours from Anston’s Granite Range, the paving works were completed within the space of 6 days. The end result is an impressive, eye-catching pedestrian space that draws visitors to explore the reinvigorated local hub.
